Catch up catch up catch up…catch up on cleaning house, laundry, errands, homework, journals, and blogs. The crazy is winding down and Summer is 5.5 days away for my girls. Well, Addison’s has already started and she is rocking herself a 100-104 + fever which started last Saturday. We went to the Dr. this morning, just a fever virus. Knock on wood, it has been going down down down. She also barfed at 3:00am Sunday morning. I heard her cough and I ran in and she was standing in the hallway and I knew she was going to barf and I put her in front of the toilet and there she barfed. It’s so much easier when kids start barfing in toilets. Clean up is so easy!
What else…I’ve been working and we have installed two jobs thus far, not including our house… and I finally have some pictures to upload to facebook and the blog and will hopefully be promoting it soon.
Michael ran a 55.5k two weekends ago. He finished second and said it was a pretty tough race. We headed over to Davidson River Campground to watch him finish. I think he is ready for his 100 miler that is in…17 days! We will be headed to Ohio for the Mohican 100, which is also on Father’s Day weekend.
This picture is from Michael run last Saturday, he saw a yearling, maybe around 2 years old. That black blob is the bear!
Addison is now a preschool graduate. She was so super excited for her graduation day. They sang 5 songs and then they announced all the graduates and they received their medals. Then we went into the fellowship hall were lunch was catered by Chick Fil A. After that we went home and started our summer! We took the girls to Creek Side Tap House which was really cool! They have a playground, creek, and a sand volley ball court, plus yard games. The girls had a blast playing in the creek!
We made donut holes on a stick for Addison’s school birthday celebration. The teachers said they were a HUGE hit!
Getting ready for graduation!
These pictures are hung throughout the preschool which is also the kids wing at church. She is second from the bottom row, 8th picture.
Saturday we played out in the yard, riding bikes, throwing Frisbee, and playing games! Then all the neighbors came out and we hung out on porches. Then we busted out EK’s violin, a flute, guitar, and two bass and listened to every one play their instruments. Then Addison’s ailments began.
This picture is about 15 minutes later than the above!
Illness sets in.
Sunday we worked all day in a neighbors yard. We redid their entire landscape! It looks great! I was suppose to go to the Y Monday but with Addison’s fever and Michael at work, I couldn’t keep her in child care. So I cleaned the house and Michael got home and we smoked a shoulder and potato salad and made some Ramen Noodle Cole Slaw. It was super good! Ella Kate went back for thirds!
A couple of Mondays ago it was early release for school and I went to the Y for my TRX class and ended up staying for LeBoot instead of going home…this girl, Carolina, and I did 450 burpees! Woooo!
Coming up next…Mimi and Papa arrive Thursday to celebrate Addison’s 5th birthday. Since Ella Kate will be in school and Michael at work, we are going to AVL Pizza that night to start celebrating and then Saturday after their last swimming lessons we are going to Pisgah Gem Mine and then to Launch…a trampoline park to let them jump! Michael is making her a strawberry cake, per her request. Monday is Ella Kate’s spring recital. Wednesday she has a half day of school and then Thursday my parents are taking them back to Memphis for the rest of June! Michael and I are celebrating our 12th anniversary by hiking the Art Loeb trail (hopefully). Its a 31ish mile trail and I know I can do it, but I am just hoping my downhill knee problem knows it can do it too. The weekend after that is the Mohican. Then I will be headed to Memphis for a week and to get the girls! There goes June in a nutshell!
