Sorry future older girls…life as we know it with you two busy little ones and a full time stay at home work at home mama, is just crazy hectic! I’m trying…I am getting most of your moments!
We wrapped up summer with swimming, grilling, cleaning the trampoline, staying up late, and just hanging out!
So catching up…Ella Kate is on her last week as a purple belt this week. She is super sad about it because she LURVES some purple…her next belt is red, followed by brown, followed by black! She is in the ninja program and they usually move up to the Junior class when they turn 7. She will be close to her black belt. I am hoping her teachers will let her get it before moving her up. She would be so stoked. She is really getting good at it! You should see her do a pushup…she rocks it out. That’s one exercise her mama can’t do…anything else I am game!
So Saturday she tests for a red belt. She also took the next step into actually becoming a real black belt…she joined the black belt club! Which means she wears black now…and sparring! Here she is in her new gear!
Our garden has been terribly sad this year. Too much rain in the beginning = an awesome stand of nutgrass to battle every day. But we do have this cute little watermelon that is now the size of my head!
Our Kroger in Arlington is fairly small since our town is so small. They don’t have half of the organic options that other Krogers do, so I try and hit up the insanely large newly remodeled Kroger near Lakeland. They have these fun little carts for the young-ins to fight over. Luckily my kids share everything! I am lying! They did take turns and I am not sure how many times my ankles got ran over.
I did a ton of work with Ella Kate over the summer. Reading was at the top of the list, workbooks, math, and some social studies. Here she is practicing her unifix cubes!
Michael has had this boat for years on the side of our house. He has only used it once. For some reason he got a wild hair in him and decided he wanted us all to go fishing at Shelby Forest towards the end of July. So we went. The girls had fun…no one caught anything, but we had fun riding on the boat!
Disney! We are going to Disney World for fall break this year. I bought some luggage and practiced packing!
