I don’t even know.

Hi, look at me, this is one of my favorite things to do.

Well…here is the low down on what has been going on.

We had fall, went straight into spring, and it is now summer outside. And…its only March 18th. My phone has been ringing off the hook. Never have I ever talked on the phone as much as I did last week. Not only that, but I have 10 voice mails from people calling on the weekend…and 4 internet contacts to respond to tomorrow.

So. We normally don’t get busy until early May…we are full out busy now. Michael is already 3 weeks behind. I had to start taking over designs so he could breath…but the good thing is, I am finally allowed to take on overtime. WOO! Bad news is…the house work goes down down down. Last fall when I was outrageously busy like this, I got estimates on getting a maid. Then things settled down…and I was actually able to do the housework. But now its back on the table. So I might take some of my overtime pay and get a maid every two or three weeks. Its crazy for me to think about…because I am always at home. But, caring for a little one…and EK…leaves about 6-10 hours a day…and I HAVE to dedicate that time to work. I was discouraged last fall because they wanted me to sign a contract for coming out every 2-3 weeks…and I don’t need a year round contract. So I might dig deeper into maid services and see what is out there.

Anyway…enough of my drama…

onto the kids drama…

Addison had her 9 month check up, and let me tell you..I have a tall skinny kid. I thought EK was tall…Addison has smoked her in height at 9 months.

Height: 28.5″
Weight: 16 pounds

Get down. 28.5″ tall. That is silly. We went window shopping while EK was at ballet and 2 people in 2 different stores commented on how tall she was. She was 95% on height. She was 10% on weight. Ellers was by far more of a butterball than Addison. She was 19lbs. and I think 25″. I looked it up when we got home, I think that is what it was. I was in shock as to how different it was!

What does Addison do??

She wakes up anywhere from 7-7:30 and eats and plays and goes to sleep anywhere from 9-9:30 depending on school days…and she sleeps till 11-11:30….then more eating and playing till 1-1:30…and usually sleeps till 3:30 or 4. Then she goes to bed at 7:00.

She loves her some food. I have been a total slacker at the whole making baby food stuff. She has tried pretty much everything and I am really pushing the table food now. She went on a streak of sweet potatoes and carrots for about 2 or 3 weeks. Now she is stuck on peaches.

She still loves her johnny jump up and hangs out in that while I make dinner. She is finally sitting in her toddler chair, and not in her bouncer.

She isn’t crawling yet, but I have seen a world of improvement over the weekend….she gets up on her knees and kinda moves back and forth.

She can:
clap
peekaboo
say mama
say dada
I am pretty sure she said I love mama today. Michael heard it.
Pick up cheerios etc and eat them.
Drink from her cup
Sit up
Get up on all 4s
roll like a rocket
wave…just wave…not at anyone.

She also gets highly disgruntled if I am not in her line of vision…or touching her. Still have a huge separation problem. My kids love me…I guess that is a good thing!

She also has 6 teeth. I have noticed that she doesn’t drool as much as EK did. I haven’t really had her in a bib unless its for eating.

Anyways..Ellers was on spring break last week. We had fun! We didn’t do much because I had to work. We did some crafting, bike riding, painting, cookie making, movie watching…and she also went to Mimi and Papa’s house for a movie outing, the Lorax…and a trip to the zoo.

Oh and Wednesday I woke big A up in the morning and she had a gigantic scratch under her eye…and two eyes full of pink eye. Thursday Ella Kate woke up with pink eye…and Friday I had pink eye. Yesterday was nuts…I was fine in the morning and then throughout the day, body part by body part was getting really achey. By the end of the night…7:00 I was in the bed and could barely move. My throat hurt something fierce. I took some leftover medicine and felt like a million bucks today. I don’t know what happen.

Also, over the weekend we decided to do this:

The hardest shower to keep clean….EVER. If you notice on the bottom, the sort of sundial white stripes…that was me, out of frustration…took toilet bowl cleaner, squirted it on the bottom and left it all day until Michael got home and had to shower (and clean it).
And out of order as usual…tiling!

Demo finished.

First surprise…after removing the shower we discovered a rather large hole. Bout 15″ wide, and 18″ deep. Standing water in the bottom. It rained 4″ the day before. Michael had to fill it with concrete. We had a gaping hole in our slab.

Another reason we hated out shower…constant leakage. The molding and sheetrock were the only thing with mold…thank goodness. I was beyond freaked out about what we might find behind the walls and floor.

Tearing down!

Ready for tile!

It has been a long time coming. We knew when we bought the house that we would have to do this. The shower was in 4 parts, three walls and a floor…all plastic…and with so many cracks that you could never get clean. All that thing did was mold. So we ripped that mother out and tiled it.

Here are some more pictures of the stars of my blog!

More bday party fun!

One Sunday, I was opening the blinds in my bedroom and looked out the window and saw something in the tree outback. I thought it was a bag, or a dead cat. Michael and I went outside…and it was in fact…a cat in the tree…like 25′ off the ground. He stayed in the tree all morning, all day…and at 3:00 a.m. he was no longer in the tree…I was up a lot that night because EK had asthma trubs.

Big A before bed!
