So for the past month and a half I have been busting out loaves of bread about every 4 days. My favorite so far is a honey wheat bread…I have tried some herb bread, french bread, whole wheat, and honey wheat. Michael’s favorite is the french bread.
The thing is so easy to use its ridiculous and I absolutely love it. I have been baking bread for family dinners too.
You only have to watch the first 10 minutes or so to make sure the dough balls up good…either adding more water or more flour. In all my cases it has been water…because of the humidity…sounds weird saying in the winter, but true.
For anyone thinking about baking their own bread…it is too easy and I highly recommend it. I love knowing exactly what is going into my bread…not to mention the smell of bread baking in my house. I can also make pizza dough and jams with the machine…have yet to do that though.
A hint for keeping home-made bread fresher…throw a chunk of celery in the ziploc bag and it will give you another day and a half of freshness. Home-made bread spoils quickly because it doesn’t have all those crazy preserving chemicals in it.
