Ella Kate requested a Minnie Mouse birthday party for her 3rd birthday and her mother had a fine time pulling it together. It took a good deal of time crafting all the stuff together…but she loved it all, and that is all that matters!!
Here is her chocolate chip ice-cream cake! She loved the dots on it! (Baskin Robbins – not homemade)
Her birthday banner I crafted for her. The invitations were similar, just larger and the white part had the party information. These were fun to make and I went to town with some glitter!
The goody bags for the girls. We were fortunate enough to have Maggie and Annie (out of town cousins) in town for the big day! The girls wore their Minnie ears and had a ball!
The table scape (as Sandra Lee calls it)…I painted 3 styrofoam balls black and the assembled them together with bamboo skewers….cut a feather boa in half tied around the base of the head…slapped on a bow and called it done. I taped matching ribbon to the candles and got the little Minnie figurines at the dollar tree.
My new china cabinet (Thanks mom and dad)…the flowers were crafted out of florist wire and tissue paper…they were actually suppose to be balls but I decided to let them be flowers, because I couldn’t get the balls to look right! My parents took the buffet to Cleveland and had it painted to match their kitchen…and when they moved back to Collierville they didn’t have room for it and they had it refinished and gave it to us….we have all of their old Ethan Allen furniture…and we are grateful for the new addition!!
The activity center…I cut out foam in the shape of Minnie Mouse’s silhouette and provided glitter gel pens and stickers for the girls to decorate and take home. They loved this simple activity!
and what’s a party without a gigantic mylar Minnie Mouse head…the girls also loved beating the stew out of it.
Anyways, the party was super fun to put together and Ella Kate loved watching make all of her “decorations” and she had a ball!
